Letter to Parent/Guardian
Dear EBC Parent/Guardian,
During this challenging transition we are working hard to support our students so they continue their learning and progress towards graduation. We will start our online classes on Monday, September 21st and are excited to get back to school Blended learning scheduled to start on October 1st. Here is our plan
Advocate Counselors have been reaching out to students to prepare them for classes on Monday, September 21st
All student have been emailed their schedules and teachers are inviting them to their google classroom via the student’s school email address.
Students are signed up for two or three online classes that start on Monday and will finish on October 23rd. After they finish those classes we will sign them up for additional two or three classes for the remainder of the school year.
Teachers are posting all the assignments for their classes on Google Classroom
Teachers will be holding video conferences with students using zoom at during the students scheduled class time. At these times teachers will be giving lessons, helping students with work and having discussions with them using video, voice or chat.
Teachers are also available during some morning period 9:30 - 11:00 to help students with their current class or to support student in finishing work from last cycle.
Students will need to check email every day. We will be sending out important information and if they have any problem with their email they should reach out to their Advocate Counselor.
If you have any questions you can always reach out to your child’s Advocate Counselor. You can find all our staff contact information at Meet Our Team Page.
I know this is a time of concern for our students and families. As always, the safety of our students is our top priority.
Thank you for your help in keeping your child, and our community, safe and healthy. We will communicate with you as is needed or if the situation changes.
Sincerely,
Patrick McGillicuddy, Principal

Remote Learning Device Request
If you need to borrow a device to use for remote learning and have not received one from EBC you can still request one by filling out this survey from the NYCDOE
To help students stay connected during emergencies, the DOE is lending internet-enabled iPads to support remote learning for students. If you would like to request a device for a NYC student in your family, please fill out the form below. The DOE will use the contact information you provide to get in touch with you to discuss when and where you can pick up a device. Priority will be given to students most in need, and all devices are granted on a temporary basis and will later need to be returned. There is a limit of one device per student.
